Featuring an immense skylight in the atrium and an eye-catching stairway leading to the second-floor lobby, this is a stunning space. You’ll notice a large diagonal that evokes the Côte d’Abraham’s former route to Saint-Jean Street in centuries past.

The Desjardins Lobby will allow you to admire a signature element of Le Diamant’s architecture: the glass facade extending from the ground level all the way to the top floor. The main bar of Le Diamant is in this area. The BMO Lobby highlights the historical significance of the site through evocative and theatrical elements that reference the old YMCA. Sections of the original walls, including woodwork and cast-iron columns, were salvaged during the demolition and restored to become decorative elements.

No matter what needs you have, our flexible variable-geometry space can adapt to your event. With 642 seats in a large proscenium configuration, your guests will feel close to the action wherever they may be seated in the space. Would you rather welcome them in a cinema, opera or studio configuration? Anything is possible! Without the risers, the auditorium has a floor area of 840 m² / 9041 ft². We recommend enhancing your guests’ experience by using the lobby for cocktails, a happy hour, official remarks, a post-show gathering or any other related event.

The studio of Le Diamant is an exceptional space! It is used primarily by Ex Machina, the main resident company of Le Diamant. Requests from artistic companies from Québec City and elsewhere whose work aligns with the Le Diamant’s artistic vision will be evaluated according to the availability of the space. The studio will also be used in connection with various corporate activities taking place on the 5th-floor terrace.
A maximum of 200 people, depending on the desired configuration.
