Partners

Because Le Diamant believes deeply in the richness of synergy in the cultural field, it is proud to be associated with major partners in the Quebec City artistic landscape and to count on the indispensable support of public and private partners.

A Diamant Embedded in the Cultural Life of Québec

From the very first brainstorming for Le Diamant, the Ex Machina team felt it was essential that it become a centre for presenting local talent. That’s why Le Diamant is proud to have cultural partners like the Festival de cinéma de la ville de Québec and the Carrefour international de théâtre.

Cultural Partners

Ex Machina

Led by artistic director Robert Lepage, Ex Machina creates, produces and disseminates multidisciplinary artistic works. The company brings together creators from several fields of activity and offers a broad range of artistic production. Ex Machina mainly develops its shows in the city of Quebec, then presents them abundantly in Quebec, Canada and elsewhere in the Americas, Europe, Asia and Oceania.

CARREFOUR INTERNATIONAL DE THÉÂTRE DE QUÉBEC

Being both a festival and a producer, the Carrefour international de théâtre is a meeting point for artists, arts professionals and the public. We work in close collaboration with the theatre community by being a complement and a partner in making theatre and creation thrive.

The idea of a carrefour, a crossroads, comes to life within the idea of meeting and opening to the other. The Carrefour encourages a dialog between art and society and offers to the public occasions to discover, exchange and express. At the Carrefour, we challenge ourselves to use the festival as a way to multiply direct contacts between citizens, arts and artists and to welcome those who don’t necessarily have an easy access to arts and culture.

FESTIVAL D’OPÉRA DE QUÉBEC

The Festival d'opéra de Québec has been in existence since 2011 and has seen and heard major productions destined for the Metropolitan Opera of New York such as Thomas Adès' The Tempest, Berlioz' The Damnation of Faust, Kaija Saariaho's L'amour de loin and Mozart's The Magic Flute, all of which were staged by Robert Lepage.

FESTIVAL DE CINÉMA DE LA VILLE DE QUÉBEC (FCVQ)

Founded in 2011, the Quebec City Film Festival is a non-profit organization that strives to offer film enthusiasts from Quebec and visitors from outside the province and abroad a major film event similar to other iconic international film festivals. It is a renowned and recognised platform that screens regional and international productions of new and original films. The festival also supports local and regional emerging artists by providing them with a showcase to present their works that attracts major media exposure.

Multifaceted Theatre in an Exceptional Place

Joyously eclectic and deeply contemporary, the Carrefour international de théâtre is the prominent theatre festival in Quebec City. From the end of May until early June, the festival takes over several parts of town, most notably for its site-specific ambulatory theatre experience Où tu vas quand tu dors en marchant? Le Diamant will be one of the hosts of this theatrical festival.
