Through the prism of movement and poetry, and inspired by both classical and quantum physics, En théories (une poétique de l’espace-temps) explores the themes of the universe, time, and identity.
A collective shares their fascination with the stars and the mysteries of the cosmos. Twelve (12) performers, with forty-four (44) chairs, embody physical and human phenomena, blurring the boundaries of reality and dimensions. The performance blends acrobatics, poetic movement, and metaphor to question our place in the universe and the meaning of existence.
DynamO Théâtre offers a bold creation, a tribute to curiosity and wonder, transcending the norms of theatre for young audiences and delivering an immersive experience, full of mystery—dare we say metaphysical?
ABOUT DYNAMO THÉÂTRE
DynamO Théâtre has been shaping the landscape of Quebec youth theatre for over 40 years. With 25 original creations performed worldwide before more than 1.5 million spectators, the company has undeniably contributed to renewing the practice of theatre for young audiences. Its distinctive artistic approach questions, reflects, and defines the art of acrobatic movement and clowning on stage, pursued with the same passion and vitality as when it began in 1981.
Its creative process is rooted in stage writing. DynamO Théâtre searches, explores, and creates with bodies in space, much like an author writes with words on a blank page. Its writing is therefore a writing of the stage, where collaborators are engaged throughout the creation process. It is theatre that dares.
Over time, the company has developed a unique physical vocabulary, method, and language that define its signature. It speaks of rhythm, speed, amplitude, fixed points, momentum, suspension, acrobatics… It speaks of movement! And yet, dramaturgy—both of the body and of words—has come to play an increasingly central role. From the scenographic space, its stage writing continues to evolve, refine, and assert itself with each new production.
DynamO Théâtre is committed to offering bold theatre to a wide audience—children, teenagers, and families—telling stories that resonate physically and emotionally, and reflecting the world through the prisms of movement, image, and text. Its playground is vast, and its ambition to reach the hearts of humans, young and old, is greater still.
