Le Diamant is committed to offering you an inclusive, welcoming experience. Here in our Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ), we’ve gathered the answers to common questions.
If you don’t see a response to your question, send us an email, and we will gladly assist you.
I am a person with reduced mobility/I have a service dog. Is Le Diamant accessible?
Of course! Wheelchair access to the auditorium is available on the first and second levels of the theatre, using an elevator. We also have accessible washrooms. However, please note that we do not offer on-site wheelchair rental.
Service dogs are allowed in the auditorium during performances.
Since reduced-mobility seating is limited, please communicate with us by email to let us know your specific needs. We will be happy to assist you with ticket purchasing to ensure your comfort and offer you the best experience possible during the performance.
Is Le Diamant a family-friendly place to visit?
Absolutely! Our space has large, gender-neutral washrooms. Folding strollers are accepted in the coat check (but are not permitted in the performance space).
In our programming information, the productions with a limited audience (with a minimum age, for example) are clearly indicated, as are those intended for families. Children two years and under are admitted free if they are sharing a seat with a parent. Children over two years old must have their own ticket.
Is there a coat check?
Yes, we offer a coat check for $2. Please note that the coat check is cash only and that there is no on-site ATM.
GET TO LE DIAMANT
Is Le Diamant accessible by bus?
Le Diamant’s central location at Place D’Youville near the Saint-Jean Gate makes it easily accessible by public transportation, including Metrobus routes 800, 801 and 807 (Pointe-de-Sainte-Foy, Charlesbourg and Beauport), as well as regular bus routes 3, 11, 25 and 28.
For a map of bus routes and schedules, consult the website of the Réseau de transport de la capitale (RTC).
I will be coming by car. Where can I park?
Le Diamant is located right in the heart of Old Quebec, where street parking is limited and usually metered. Paid parking is available at the SPAQ at Place D’Youville, just across the square from the entrance of Le Diamant.
Plan sufficient travel time so that you will be able to enjoy your experience thoroughly and not arrive late for your show.
Food and Drink
Can alcohol be consumed at Le Diamant?
We will offer a cash bar on performance evenings. For certain shows, at the artists’ discretion, drinks may be allowed into the performance space.
No outside beverages will be permitted in the space.
Is it possible to eat at Le Diamant?
Le Diamant will soon have a restaurant within its space, but it is not yet open. In the meantime, since Le Diamant is located in the historic centre of town, there are quite a few restaurants within a short walking distance. The RestoQuébec website and the Quebec City Tourism Office restaurant listings are great resources for learning about the plentiful dining possibilities in Old Quebec.
No outside food will be permitted in Le Diamant.
When will the theatre doors open?
We will open the theatre doors 30 minutes before the beginning of a performance. While waiting for the doors to open, you are welcome to relax in the lobby and enjoy our cash bar service.
What happens if I’m late?
For most productions, out of respect for the artists and the audience, it is not possible to enter the theatre after the show has begun.
If you are arriving by car, make sure you allow ample time to find parking, especially during busy periods. We strongly recommend taking public transportation; Le Diamant is easily reached by numerous bus routes.
I have a problem with my ticket purchase/I lost my ticket/I got the date wrong. What should I do?
Our responses to questions about ticket purchases are in the Tickets section.
