About Jean Gaudreau
Jean Gaudreau was born in Québec City in 1964. An experimental artist-painter, he revisits the pictorial traditions introduced by abstract expressionism. He begins his work with a conceptual starting place and then proceeds intuitively, entering into dialogue with the piece. Jean Gaudreau’s works are in numerous private and public collections including those of Cirque du Soleil, the National Library of Canada, Québec City’s Théâtre Impérial, and Québecor, to name a few.
