Animal
Cirque Alfonse
Hydro-Québec Auditorium
Cirque Alfonse is back with quite an unusual take on farm life and on the animals in particular!
Animal: A Farm Story takes us on a journey of discovery through a series of slightly surreal farm fables served up with a touch of irreverence, impressive virtuosity and the company’s signature comic touch. In this reinvented agricultural world, the farm is turned upside down and the barn’s inside out!
What People Are Saying...
"A calf, a cow, a pig, a brood... Cirque Alfonse has assembled a real menagerie onstage for its recent creation, Animal, a joyous farm party where the music and theatre are as satisfying as the acrobatic feats."
"On the agenda are songs—traditional tunes reinterpreted and adapted to a rock or hymn-like style. There are feats too, but, most of all, there’s an incredibly contagious zest for life in this evening that unfolds like a country gathering. Cirque Alfonse once again stands out for its humour: the number with the three men juggling eggs on a moving board is particularly strong!"
